It's Time for "Mediation" in Maryland to Simplify and Move Forward: In Maryland , mediators are supposed avoid being "evaluative" in court-referred cases.  In this piece, I argue in favor of having mediators use all available tools and processes available to them to help parties accomplish their goals - which usually is to settle the dispute (although not always).
